Cycle Club Bexley – North West Kent Cycling Club.


Welcome to the Cycle Club Bexley Web site. We hope that our site will interest you if you have found it by chance, and that you find the information you are looking for if you came here by design.

We have an active membership who ride Time Trials, Road Races and Tourist events. We also enjoy social rides, and generally having fun in the cycling world. If you want to read more of our member activities click on “Club Log” at the foot of this page.

Although adopting the name of Cycle Club Bexley, membership is geographically spread over North West Kent, and we meet at the Horton Kirby Cricket Club in Franks Lane, near Farningham Kent.

Forthcoming Events.

We have posted the timetable for our Evening “10” events for 2002. To view this, and the results of those run so far, please click on “Evening 10” at the foot of this page.

The club will be holding its evening barbecue on Wednesday June 26th. at around 7.30 pm. We would welcome anyone who would like to join us. It will be held at our clubroom, the Horton Kirby Cricket Club in Franks Lane, near Farningham Kent. We ask for a contribution of £2 – £3 toward the cost of the food. If you would like to come please mail me or call me on 01732 822664 so that we can ensure that there is sufficient food available.

The Tricycle Association (TA) Thames Valley Region are holding a social weekend on 15th – 16th June. They will be staying at the Kemsing Youth Hostel. Anyone who wants to join them for a beer on Saturday Evening can do so at “The Bell” in Kemsing, which is next to the War memorial. On the Sunday they will be riding to Bough Beech, stopping to look inside the Visitor’s Centre. After this they will be having lunch and taking ale at “The Wheatsheaf” at Bough Beech. This is situated just off the B 2027 at the south side of the bridge over the railway, OS ref. TQ489468. Cycle Club Bexley will be assembling a club run to join them which you are welcome to join, otherwise you will be welcome at “The Wheatsheaf” from about midday.
